My name is Isaac Chisnall (or Isaac Fun, depending on how you know me!). I'm the handsome devil on standing on the right, in this photo taken Monday August 1st, at my cousin Nathaniel's first birthday party. I'm 3 weeks younger and my Mummy has decided for the run-up to MY first birthday to start me a blog. This way we can update it quickly and easily and add pictures when I'm particularly cute......which of course, with me, is all the time.So - my first birthday is in a couple of weeks...what have you missed? My Mummy will continue to edit this post to keep you up to date with my previous activities, until she catches up to the present day. As to what I'm like now?I'm sitting under Mummy's chair, banging my head on the chairleg, and moaning a bit. I've got a cold at the moment and the snot, quite frankly, is pouring out of me. Grim. I'm also looking through one of my books - I like books a lot, this is a cloth 'activity book' with zips and buttons and velcro and laces, all kinds of clever things. Daddy is downstairs drilling holes in our drawers to fit baby proof locks on, to spoil the fun I get from pulling open drawers and getting everything out. I'm about due my dinner...and I know it. I keep looking at Mummy and saying 'mmuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmmmm...' just in case she's forgotten.Back soon.

MY FIRST CHRISTMAS
My favourite things about Christmas? Opening presents, and eating wrapping paper. Christmas Eve I wore a reindeer suit, with antlers, and on Chtristmas day I wore a red suit that said' Christmas Pudding' and had cream on the hat. I looked *very* special. Mummy and Daddy got me a coat that was far too big, a book to eat, a cow rattle, and Wiggle Dog. We then walked up to Nanny's house and found Auntie Cath, Nanny, Nathaniel, Joseph, and Ollie dog, and we had lots more presents.
FOURTH MONTH - November 24th - December 23rdNovember 3rd they jabbed me with a needle! The fools! Auntie Cath sang our special song - 'Wassa matter you? Hey, why you looking so sad?' and it soon made me forget, so I guess it wasn't so bad. On December 4th, Mummy and Daddy bought a new camera (digital, dontcha know) and from then on took loads and loads of pictures. We went to Rochester to celebrate where they had 'snow', and Daddy sung Christmas Carols to me! (as did lots and lots of other people. All to me, no it was.
Oh and December 12th I was shown tinsel, fairy lights and baubles - how cool are they?!? I was so excited I managed to sit unaided for the first time.
THIRD MONTH - October 24th - November 23rdIn my third month I started settling into this whole living/not crying thing, and we went on lots of outings. I looked around a bootfair, visied Auntie Cath's house, and had a check up on October 27th. I weighed 10lb 3 1/2ounces (meaning I'd put on 13ounces in 10 days - go me!) and I smiled at the funny lady who measured me.
October 30th Mummy, Daddy and I went to Whitstable and we saw the sea, and boats, and a really fishy smelling place, Mummy and Daddy bought some strange little things but wouldn't share them. Boats were good, though.
SECOND MONTH - September 24th - October 23rdOn September 27th I was officially registered as Isaac Haworth Chisnall. I didn't have to do much, I think Mummy and Nanny did all the work. Still, it felt nice to be official. Two weeks later I went on my first train journey - to London no less - where, oddly, Mummy and I met up with Daddy, and then met Eddie Izzard, who signed his new DVD to me. I was only 6 weeks old so I didn't watch the DVD, but Mummy promised she'd look after it for me.
I liked being carried in the sling, and liked Daddy singing to me - mostly Magnetic Fields songs, which was nice, as Mummy had listened to lots of Magnetic Fields while she was pregnant. I've been told my usual facial expression was slack jawed, brows raised amazement, but frankly I can't imagine I could have been that unstylish. Apparantly I was mostly bald too, so Mummy put me through a lot of hats. I think the woman's obsessed, you know.
FIRST MONTH - August 24th - September 23rd
In my first month of life, I was too busy being really skinny and all screwed up, with little frogs legs and balled fists. I spent a lot of time screaming at the unjustness of it all, and red in the face. I discovered pooing - what an interesting idea - and the rest of the time was mostly sleeping, eating, or crying. A few days after we came home, we popped out to Homebase - only a 20 minute trip, but still rather amazing - and on the 28th I slept from 1am to 5.50am which Mummy & Daddy liked very much, as it was the longest stretch of sleep they'd had in days. On August 31st we went out all day - to Mummy's old office, Nestledown (lots of squealing ladies, rather scary really) and to Bluewater (uh, dunno. I mostly slept).
By the time I was 2 weeks old, I'd already been to the pub (The Barge in Gillingham, with Grandad, Nanny Nicky, and Auntie Keira)and Mummy, Nanny and I went shopping in Chatham High Street. I started to gain weight - 6lb 14oz! On September 12th I visited Grandma and Nanny on the same day, and by September 16th I slept through the night, and weighed 7lb 1oz. I wore a lot of white towelling babygrows as I looked very smart in those.
MY BIRTH - August 23rd 2004I was born supposedly 16 days overdue at 2.06pm on the afternoon of Monday August 23rd. I weighed 6lb 12 1/2 ounces and measured 55cm long. I didn't quite work out breathing properly but after a couple of minutes, with some help, I got the hang of it and went to meet Daddy. We stared at each other for a really long time. He cried before I did, and later (after Mummy had recovered a little!) I had a cuddle with her too. A few houurs later Nanny came to visit and told me it was okay to cry and they didn't mind hearing me, which I think she might have regretted later... I went home when I was 23 hours old after some photographs (I think Mummy was desperate to leave the hospital, after being there a week) and Nanny, Auntie Cath, my 3 week old cousin Nathaniel, Grandma, Auntie Karen and Grandad all came to visit. I went to sleep in my bouncer and didn't wake up for 6 hours, which was a nice break for Mummy & Daddy but, I suspect, not that entertaining for the rest of my family. Still, to make up for it, I never slept in there again...
